August 28, 2008 — Microsoft Corporation today announced their forthcoming browser Internet Explorer 8 will support a new feature that enables users to cover their tracks with regard to the sites they may have visited.
The new feature in IE8 known as InPrivate, but already dubbed Porn Mode allows users to flick a switch to suppress the display of visited sites in the Browser History list.
To begin InPrivate Browsing, simply open a new tab and select Start InPrivate Browsing or select it via the Safety button at the top right of the browser window.
September 2, 2008 — Google today released a preview version of a new browser they have been developing called Google Chrome. It has been confirmed that a pr0n mode is present, going under the name incognito.
To go incognito, simply click the Page menu and select New incognito window.
September 9, 2008 — Developer notes on the Mozilla Foundation website suggest a Private Browsing mode has made it into the soon to be released Firefox 3.1 browser.
